Thelma was born and raised in Guyana, South America, and moved to the U.S. at the age of nine. Though leaving her mother behind was a difficult experience, it fostered maturity and responsibility in her from a very young age. Her family was reunited with her mother which has created an unbreakable bond within her family, which has since reunited in the United States.

Thelma proudly became the first in her family to earn her high school diploma after attending John F. Kennedy High School. She continued her education at Naugatuck Valley Community College, graduating in May 2022 with an associate’s degree in accounting and business administration computer science.

Although Thelma did not have prior experience in the legal field, her ambition, compassionate character, and naturally positive attitude made her a perfect fit for the BJM team. Thelma has a deep passion for helping people, and this shines through in every interaction. Clients are immediately welcomed by her bright, pleasant demeanor and genuine smile when she greets them on the phone or in person. This sets a comfortable and encouraging tone for their experience. This natural enthusiasm and authentic warmth make her the ideal person to serve in her position. She leaves a true passionate and positive lasting first impression.

When she isn’t working, Thelma loves spending time with her family. She enjoys just hanging out at home, relaxing, and joking around with her sisters.
