Melissa is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BJM Law, a position she earned through exceptional dedication, resilience, and a profound commitment to the firm’s success and its people.

Melissa began her journey with BJM Law at its inception in 2004. Starting at the ground level, she filled a variety of essential roles as needs arose—from office cleaning to reception work and administrative assistance to stepping in for staff on vacation or on leave. She transitioned to full time in 2007.

Melissa embodies a powerful combination of a strong work ethic and a big heart fueled by genuine compassion. She is a take-charge leader who prioritizes the well-being of the team and clients, always putting others first to ensure a supportive and efficient environment.

As CEO, Melissa wears many hats. She is directly responsible for vital operational areas, including overseeing the firm’s budget, human resources, office management, charitable contributions and marketing strategy. She finds the greatest fulfillment in the employee engagement and morale building initiative she has put in place. She is committed to fostering a positive workplace

Away from the firm, Melissa is dedicated to maintaining a rich balance of family and personal interests. She is an avid pickleball player and enjoys a round of golf. Most importantly, she cherishes her role as a grandparent to her three grandchildren, calling it ‘the best feeling.’ She and her husband, Mark, also share a passion for cooking and look forward to their yearly travel with family and friends.
