Laiza’s journey with BJM Law originally began in 2013. While she may have pursued a different professional opportunity in 2018, she believes this time allowed her to significantly expand her knowledge and experience within the Workers’ Compensation field. We were excited to welcome her back to the firm in 2022, where she now serves as a paralegal in both our Workers’ Compensation and Employment Law Departments. Laiza is happy to be back and reunited with her BJM family.

Laiza brings a valuable combination of experience and empathy, focusing on assisting clients as they navigate the personal and financial challenges of their claims. Her deep-seated passion for service is rooted in her upbringing. Being raised by a single Hispanic mother, instilled a powerful work ethic and a belief that resilience overcomes adversity. She believes that dedication and passion are the key to achieving life goals despite any obstacles that may get in the way.

When she steps away from her professional duties, Laiza loves to explore. You can often find her enjoying the tranquility of nature while hiking the local trails, enjoying the refinement of wine tasting, or spending quality time with her friends and family with the love of her life, her dog Duke by her side.
