A cornerstone of the firm, Joe Brown, serves as the Director of the Personal Injury Department. Since joining BJM LAW in 2005 as the firm’s first personal injury paralegal, Joe has dedicated over 20 years to providing exceptional client service and legal support.

Joe’s extensive legal background began with his graduation from Briarwood College in 1995 with high honors, receiving an associate in applied science degree. He has learned various areas of law as a paralegal ever since, now bringing over two decades of experience to complex personal injury claims.

Blending the discipline and integrity he gained through his honorable discharge from the Air Force with the compassion acquired from raising a family, Joe acts as both a trusted friend to the client and an invaluable asset to the firm.

As a licensed Casualty Adjuster with the State of Connecticut, Joe’s deep experience is crucial for maximizing client value. He expertly manages the paralegals for our personal injury files—including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, product liability, premises liability, and dog bite claims— he continues to be involved directly by maintaining close, consistent contact with the client, medical providers, and insurance companies. His over two decades of experience enables him to precisely evaluate claims for settlement and to consistently outline the weaknesses in an insurance company’s case.

Joe resides in Wolcott with his wife and when he is not at work, he enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.
