Sandy Hook Final Playground Memorial | Law Offices of Brian J. Mongelluzzo

Oct 7, 2014

On October 5, Watertown, Connecticut presented the final playground memorial for the principal of Sandy Hook Elementary School Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung.

This memorial was a part of the non-profit “The Sandy Ground: Where Angels Play” Foundation. There are 26 memorials that are scattered across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Each memorial is completed by volunteers and dedicated in remembrance of one of the 26 victims of Sandy Hook.

The goal of the memorials is to create joy and carry out the legacy of those who lost their lives due to the Sandy Hook Massacre in 2012. Each one is customized to some of the children and adult’s favorite things.

Although this was a heartbreaking event, this tragedy should never be forgotten. Through building these playgrounds, it has brought everyone closer as a community. Hopefully these 26 memorial playgrounds will be utilized to carry out a positive remembrance of these remarkable 26 children and adults. The following playgrounds were built in their honor:
