Halloween Drunk Drivers | Law Offices of Brian J. Mongelluzzo

Sep 22, 2022

Halloween is scary enough without having to worry about drunk drivers on the road while your kids are out trick-or-treating. Last October 31st, in New London County, a 26-year-old woman who was under the influence caused a two-vehicle crash resulting in five injuries – including 2 of her own young children who were not properly restrained in the backseat.

The mother, from North Stonington, had a blood-alcohol level over three times the legal limit of .08 and was hit with multiple charges after the crash on Pendleton Hill Road.

It has been reported that 38% of fatal crashes that occur on Halloween night involved a driver or motorcyclist with a BAC of 0.08 or higher and that 23% of pedestrian fatalities on Halloween night involved a driver under the influence.
