On October 6, an 18 year old was riding his bike and was struck and killed by two drivers; both fled the scene. The Waterbury teen was hit and thrown into another lane where he was hit again. The second car ran directly over him.
An eyewitness remembered the license plate of the first car, and reported it to Waterbury Police. The 30 year old Israel Diaz is now in custody, but police are still looking for the second driver.
The teen was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where he was then pronounced dead.
Imagine if your loved one was hit and killed because of not only one, but two careless drivers, who didn't even respect human life. No one should ever have to go through that.
